Toyota team members celebrated the 2 millionth engine, which rolled off the line today at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama, Inc. (TMMAL)
TMMAL is the only Toyota plant globally to produce four-cylinder, V6 and V8 engines at the same facility. The Huntsville facility builds four-cylinder engines for the Camry, Highlander, RAV4, Sienna and Venza vehicles, and V6 and V8 engines for the Tundra and Tacoma pick-up trucks and the Sequoia SUV. Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) released its top safety picks for 2012. The Tundra CM is one of only 3 large pickups (the other 2 are Honda Ridgeline and the Ford F150 Crew), and assuming my total count is correct, Toyota came in third behind Honda and of all companies, Volkswagon, lol!
